Glass Museum of Murano

Breathtaking beauty! That’s the only thing I can say!
The trip began from the airport in Venice. A bus took us on a half hour journey to the island of Murano.
Right here on this island the masters of Italian glassware have created the most beautiful glassware pieces in the world with their magical touch, and I got a front row seat today.
The museum opened in 1861 in an old Italian mansion. It already held a large collection of the old samples of the artwork being displayed at the museum today. Among its most treasured artwork, we can name pieces from the great Franco Beraldo, whom the Kamandi Gallery has the privilege of working with.
We visited the gallery on a cold winters day. It offered the perfect opportunity for me to photograph these beauties without disturbing the numerous tourists that usually come here to visit.
The rooms and galleries of the mansion were beautifully decorated with the sunlight peaking through the windows creating a poetic and serene atmosphere.
All showcased artwork at the museum carry significant historic and artistic importance. My words fail to describe the magnitude of the mansion and the artwork.
I feel proud and happy that the Gallery was able to obtain a collection from the artists that were displayed at the museum. It elevates the quality of the work we have at gallery in a manner.
