Italian Design Museum

What is design? Well I think design as it is known today has routes in Italy.
For centuries industries have mass created items for everyday use.
What is the difference between a designer in Milan from the 19th century and someone who produced handcrafts at that time? It is very simple an artisan or craftsman completes all the steps of creating that item by hand while a designer takes an industrial plan in creating items.

In the early 60s design is born in northern Milan in Brianza. That is one the reasons why the Design Museum in Milan is so important.

The items on display at the museum are living proof of the industrial-artistic steps taken in creating these items. As an art enthusiast I take special interest in learning about all forms of art especially concerning design, which is so deeply routed in Milanese culture. A lot of these items are still being produced and have a price range. However a historical item has a different story altogether. It requires a different expertize even in pricing and value.

Buying an artwork is a unique and exciting experience for everyone. It is important that you trust the authenticity of the item. That is why it is especially important as a gallery manager that I have adequate information about the various art effects, so I can assure our clients that the artwork is authentic and original.
